Signal · Android · free · no root

See deleted Signal messages.

They used "Delete for everyone". You still have it. Nail It keeps a private copy of every Signal message that reaches your notifications, including the original text of edited messages, and tells you the moment something disappears: they deleted it, you didn't.

Signal is private by design; so is Nail. Everything stays on your phone.

Not on Google Play yet. Android 8.0+. Nothing leaves your phone.

Honest answers

How can I see deleted Signal messages?

Install Nail It and allow notification access. From then on every Signal message that reaches your notifications is saved on your phone. If the sender later uses "Delete for everyone", the message disappears from Signal but stays in Nail, marked "they deleted it", and Nail sends you an alert.

Does it work without root?

Yes. Nail It only reads Android notifications. No root, no access to Signal's database, no Accessibility service, no account.

Does it capture every Signal message?

No. It is a notification history: messages that never produced a notification (muted chats, a chat open on screen, messages read on another device, a collapsed "999 messages" summary) are not captured. Nail says so honestly.

Can I see what a Signal message said before it was edited?

Yes. Signal lets senders edit. Nail detects the edit, keeps every version with the time it was seen, and shows the original struck through under the new text.

What about photos, voice notes and videos?

Images attached to notifications are kept. With Media Rescue switched on, Nail also copies photos, videos, voice notes, stickers and documents from Signal's media folder the moment they arrive, so a delete cannot take them back.

Is my data safe?

Everything stays on your phone. Nail has no accounts, no cloud, no analytics on your messages. Its only connection is a daily check of this site for a new version, and you can switch that off.
